No Excuse To Miss Your Favorite TV Show

The 2008 prime time TV season is in full swing now and the number one thing that I love about TV now in comparison to say 5 years ago. Is that we have so many more options to seeing our favorite shows now. Five years ago most of us had a VCR to record our favorite shows whenever we were not home to watch then when they aired. A few fortunate people across the country had this thing called a DVR or a TIVO but for the most part we all relied on our trusty VCRs to keep track of the shows we could not watch at air time.

Here we are five years later and the VCR has gone the way of the cassette player as it’s being quickly replaced all over the world by DVRs. Oh but wait, the DVR is not our only option anymore when it comes to watching our favorite shows after they air. Now if the show reaches a certain level of popularity the odds are in your favor that at some point the network airing the show is going put the entire season onto a DVD box set. This by the way is my favorite way to watch drama series TV. Especially if your a fan of shows like Lost or 24 where the show plays out like a movie from one episode to the next.

TIVO cakesThe other option for watching your favorite show if you happened to miss it or forget to schedule it into your DVR (I hate when I do that!). The internet, all major networks and cable networks as well are putting up the bulk of their aired programs on their online Network sites. In fact it’s becoming so popular that on the occasion that you do have a popular show that does not have their episodes replayed on the internet it can cause quite a stir with it’s fans. An example of that would be The Amazing Race, where is it CBS???? (i’m not bitter though  ) Anyway with all these options available to us now the only excuse we have now for not seeing our favorite shows is not having enough time because there is so much to watch now.

Share Your Opinions and Thanks for Reading,

Carpe Diem!
